Hipstamatic recreates an old film look

There's also another sort of revolution going on and as someone who likes and uses both analogue and digital cameras I find it curious that so many digital cameras have settings that ape film?

This rather marvellous photograph of my grandson was taken on an iPhone using a $1.99 app called Hipstamatic. It's advertised on their site as "Digital Photography Never Looked So Analogue" and "The plastic camera with the golden shutter has returned." Oh.

So we should buy an iPhone to replicate the results we could have gotten with a Diana? Strange?

That said I like the image very much. And not just because the photographer was my daughter and the subject my grandson. No. Couldn't be.
